Lychees is a Chinese restaurant and takeaway that satisfies the townsfolk of Ayr’s desire for authentic Asian food that’s freshly cooked to order. Established in 2011, the restaurant has succeeded with its range of contemporary Chinese dishes that are blessed with a western twist where appropriate. Owner Peter Fong has over 20 years’ experience in the restaurant business and under his stewardship, Lychees has flourished from the very outset. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm, the restaurant rustles up lunch and dinner coupled with a popular takeaway and delivery service. For sit-in diners, it’s possible to savour a leisurely meal washed down with authentic Chinese beer or a bottle of red from a hand-picked wine list supplied by Alexander Wines.
