Originally constructed as a private fishery back in 1995, today the waters of the lochs at Raemoir are open for anyone to enjoy their spoils. The six acre loch is set in 11 acres of unspoiled beauty, and you can choose between the site’s three lochs in which to find your catch of the day. The full size angler’s cabin has plentiful seating when you need a rest, while the log burning stove will warm your soul and more importantly your wellie boots. The fish are supplied with a prolific natural feed that helps to keep them in healthy condition. You can expect to catch trout, sticklebacks, corixa and damsels, aided by a huge supply of bait and equipment that’s available to buy or hire. If dad wants to try and nab himself an Arctic Char, bring the whole family and enjoy a picnic while he struggles manfully! There are barbecues and tables available for hire, and you might be lucky enough to see one of the fishery’s local otters.

My family and I really enjoyed our trip to the fishery. We were really worrying as we were fishing with novices and my son was the only experienced fisherman. We also got some help from the regulars
