Located on the waterfront, Brighton's Big Screen is one of the area’s best-loved attractions. Situated alongside the Pier and the Wheel, the open-air beachfront cinema features a gigantic 40sqm, 8mm screen and includes a stylish new beach bar. Before catching a flick, make a stop at the bar, which has been constructed from converted shipping containers and reclaimed timber. Here you’ll find a range of tasty snacks and beverages, the better to enjoy the film. There are also several pop-up restaurants on the site each year. Award-winning Chilli Pickle Thali The Big Screen showcases a mix of blockbuster movies and classics, as well as top live sporting events. In 2014, it broadcasted the Fifa World Cup, while in 2015 it showcased the Rugby World Cup. The home nations might not have picked up any silverware, but cinema-goers relished the action in the purpose-built space nonetheless. Incidentally, all daytime showings are completely free of charge; evening tickets, meanwhile, start at just £3 per person. Open for one month during the summer, it’s worth having a look on the official website for the latest details of everything that’s happening at Brighton's Big Screen.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Aberdeen. I never go anywhere else. First place I go when I come offshore.
