21 is a modern restaurant housed within the Rox on Market Street. The Rox is a boutique hotel that welcomes oil workers, business delegates and couples holidaying in the Granite City; its slick restaurant, meanwhile, attracts a mixture of guests and passing trade. During the day, 21 serves express lunches that are great for city-based professionals who fancy a hearty meal but don’t have much time to spare. Service is prompt, food is freshly prepared and the restaurant’s clean decor lends the whole place a cheerful ambience. 21’s lunch menu, which runs from 11am, delivers two or three courses for a fixed price. The Rox burger and Rox Caesar salad are firm favourites, while comfort food comes in the form of mince and tatties and scampi and chips. The evening menu steps things up a notch; choose from Pan-Roasted Lamb, Duck Three Ways and Roast Mediterranean Salad. The grill at 21 serves tender Aberdeen Angus steaks, sourced from local butcher McWilliam. The Rox Surf ‘n’ Turf is sure to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites, while for those who fancy something a little different, the Cajun Spiced Scottish Salmon is a treat. If you’ve still got room after all that, grab an indulgent dessert or settle for an Irish coffee.

Came here for dinner last night with my boyfriend, dinner was good and very reasonable prices. The staff are an asset to the place, the service was first class. Waiters/waitresses were efficient and we received service with a smile! Will definitely return!
