Quadrant Shopping Centre

The Quadrant Shopping Centre is the principal under-cover shopping centre in Swansea. The centre opened its doors in 1979 and since the 1980s has been home to the Swansea Devil, a controversial carved wooden statue of the Devil. The 440,000 sqft mall is anchored by Debenhams, WH Smith and Boots. Other notable stores include HMV, Clarks and Dorothy Perkins. Defining features of the capacious centre include its glass roof structure and its square atrium at the centre, which is now leased out to seasonal businesses, mainly during festive periods. The centre was last redeveloped in the early 1990s, but much of the upper floor decor consists of open brickwork from the 1980s. There are two levels in the Quadrant; Boots, Debenhams and WH Smith are the only stores occupying the upper level, along with the public conveniences and The Gallery, a cafe that overlooks the central area. The Quadrant is conveniently situated adjacent to Swansea Market, Swansea bus station and a multi-storey car park. The bustling steel-and-glass shopping complex features a dizzying list of High Street retail outlets and specialist boutiques. Not only is the centre spotless, but the staff are friendly and the WiFi is fast and reliable. Visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding where and what to eat or drink. The centre’s dining quarter has expanded in recent years, with an array of cafes and restaurants on-site, among them Debenhams Cafe and Trenchers, which serves an extensive selection of gourmet coffees, fresh soups, patisseries, deli dishes, salads and snacks. Shops, meanwhile, include Animal, Clarks and Evans. Grab some lunch or dinner before or after your raid on the shops. A word of warning: The Quadrant can get pretty busy at the weekends so plan accordingly.

It's the same old shopping centres all over the uk. This is not great and looking a bit tired. There are the same shops.
