Hadn’t been to this restaurant for a number of years but wasn’t disappointed. Although fairly small and intimate tables were situated so you had privacy. We were given a complementary tea cup of a very tasty spicy soup with fresh crunchy bread while we waited on,our main course. I had the monkfish and scallops which were very tasty and accompanied with pea purée wasn’t impressed with the skinny chips but then that’s my choice. My companion had the lamb which she said was scrumptious as she scraped her plate. We both had the Carmel sweet which again was light but tasty. Staff were very attentive but I did feel they could have been dressed a bit more tidier. Waitress had leggings on and waiters trousers needed a press and his,shoes a polish. Restaurant was clean as were toilets but still I felt it was a bit tired in need of a touch of paint also brochures in window needing redone. I would certainly return again but make sure you reserve a table no matter when you visit as it’s a very popular restaurant.
