The Okome restaurants can be found throughout Glasgow and Galashiels. Each Okome has their own little differences tailored for the locals and to keep a quirky difference. A miniature ‘shop’ can be found inside a few of the stores, offering many sweet and savoury treats. All are very popular for takeaway to enjoy the food in the comfort of your own home or hotel. While there is a sublime selection of sushi up for grabs – which comes fresh, flavoursome and funky-looking there’s also an intriguing range of ramen, rice bowls, bao bun, sides, bubble teas and much more. The spicy pork belly bowl features slivers of lean meat, gently woven through a hot soup with vegetables topped with crunchy bean sprouts, carrots and broccoli. Although Japanese sausages may sound vaguely suspicious, give these yummy, smoky little guys a try – you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The decoration is bright and vibrant, with traditional Japanese banners giving the place a friendly feel, welcoming you to sit in. However, Okome would also be an excellent option if you’ve been craving a healthy and tasty takeaway seven days a week.

Consistently good takeaway, has never let me down. I'm a particular fan of the tofu poke bowl - well seasoned tofu, avocado and seaweed salad rice bowl. Tasty gyoza too!

Ordered for the office today, we are always looking for good sushi restaurants to try and we were not disappointed! The guy who answered the phone was very polite and friendly which added to the great customer service! We ordered lots of sushi, chicken katsu and everyone commented on how fresh the sushi was and the portion sizes did not disappoint! This will definitely now be 1 of the places we will go to for lunch!! Good work guys!!
