Cairnie Fruit Farm

Ever wanted to PYO? Pick Your Own that is. At Cairnie Fruit Farm, you can pick everything from raspberries to redcurrants depending on season. There are also ready-picked options available for those who don’t fancy venturing out into the fields. Situated in Cupar, this family-run business is the recipient of four stars from Visit Scotland as well as a Countryside Alliance Award for Best Rural Enterprise. Set across 120 acres, the farm is stocked with a multitude of berries as well as pumpkins and sunflowers. What you do with all those freshly-picked blackcurrants, strawbs, brambles and cherries is for you to decide; create jam, jelly and chutney or simply eat them straight from the punnet. After stocking up on juicy berries, head to the farm shop to enjoy some fine home baking – complemented by locally-made jam of course. After a restoring brew, it’s back outside to explore Maize Maze, a maze that’s made out of – yeah, that’s right. Open from mid-July till harvest time, the maze comprises a labyrinthine series of pathways and blind alleyways that cover six acres. Kids will love exploring the maze and farm Funyard which features trampolines, sand box, swings and slide.
