The Roxburghe Championship Golf Club is a par 72 course that measures 7,111 yards of beautiful rolling greens. Conceived by the Duke of Roxburghe, an avid golfer, the course was designed by Dave Thomas and designed to maximise the beauty of the views over the Scottish Borders that Roxburghe’s unique location affords. Opened in 1997, the course has since proven to be one of the most popular golf courses in the Edinburgh area, and for good reason. Featuring a varied course of sheltered bunkers and greens, the course follows the contours of the natural landscape and has a signature hole which offers excellent views over the River Teviot. The course is set within the Roxburghe Hotel, which also offers dining and leisure facilities, including a restaurant which sources much of its produce from the Roxburghe estate itself. Between the magnificent views, the wonderful staff, the challenging course and the luxury hotel facilities, there’s nothing left wanting at Roxburghe Golf Club.

We were impressed by the quality of the service and the friendliness of the staff. The room was newly refurbished, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The food was excellent with a tempting range of choice on the menu. We will definitely go back.

Visited recently to celebrate my mother's 70th Birthday. Had a wonderful time, we traveled for six hours to get there and we were kindly loaned a room to freshen up. The champagne afternoon tea for 20 was lovely, a few more sandwiches wouldn't have gone to waste. All in all great venue, lovely staff and all round great experience.

My husband and I have stayed on a number of occasions over the last 10 or so years and have always found it to be a wonderful and relaxing experience. The staff are always friendly and food is great. We have also stayed with our four children - which is a challenge as many larger families can confirm. Again we had a fabulous stay and the team made it possible for us to all be together (as opposed to split out all over the place!).This is a very special hotel and well worth the trip.
