BRIGHTON DOME
Brighton
Dome,
located
in the heart of the town’s
Cultural Quarter, remains the
preeminent multi-arts and
conference venue on the
South Coast. Inspired by Paris’
Corn Exchange, and initially
featuring a huge segmented
glass dome, the iconic building
was built in 1805 and today
hosts a diverse programme
of events. Indeed, over 600
events are showcased by the
Brighton Dome each year,
from music, film and theatre
to dance, comedy, visual arts
and spoken word. Whatever
one you’re attending, the
sheer opulence of the Concert
Hall and Corn Exchange make
for a memorable experience.
The venue also has a
Studio Theatre for smaller
productions and workshops. If
you’re particularly enamoured
by the building, with its
sprung maple floors and
lavish arches, why not go on
a backstage tour? These are
available throughout the year,
alongside tours of the Royal
Pavilion Estate as a whole.
Take a sneak peek behind the
curtain and follow in the iconic
footsteps of musical legends
like David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix
and Stevie Wonder. Further
facilities, meanwhile, include
a cafe-bar serving hearty
lunches and nutritious snacks
plus tea, coffee and pastries.
