Cambridge United Football Club
The Cambs Glass Stadium

Cambridge United is the university city’s football
team and a cherished local institution who play their
home matches at the Abbey Stadium, their home
since 1932. The 8,000-capacity stadium includes
around 4,000 seats, and what it may lack in size
it more than makes up for in atmosphere come
matchday. During their time in the Conference,
where United play their football, attendances
at the Abbey have been amongst the highest in
the league, giving an indication of how important
football is to the local community. Prior to election
into the Football League, Cambridge City were
regarded as the club’s biggest rivals, although
today that honour goes to Peterborough United,
despite the fact the two clubs have experienced
a number of seasons divisions apart. Corporate
packages are available at the Abbey, but for fans
who prefer being closer to the action, a matchday
ticket promises an unrivalled view of proceedings.
