The Circle Café Bar first
opened its doors back in
2002 and was inspired
by the owners’ holiday in
France. Aside from serving
fresh, locally sourced and
affordable food in an informal
atmosphere, they also offer
delicious handmade cocktails
using
fine
ingredients,
made in front of you by their
experienced bartenders. The
cosy atmosphere creates a
hive for family get-togethers
and friends meeting up for
a drink and to socialise, and
the drinks menu is crammed
full of tipples from around the
globe. Location was the key
to try and recreate this effect
in Carlisle. The 18th century
glass-covered
Lowther
Arcade, which is sited in the
historic old courts area of
Carlisle’s city centre. was the
perfect place for the Circle
Café Bar to evolve into what
it has become today. Bare
brick walls adorned with art by
local artists combined with a
Mediterranean colour scheme
creates a warm welcoming
feel; add to this comfortable
low, spacious seating which
makes you feel relaxed and
allows you to enjoy their
menu brimming with tasty and
international tapas choices.
