field, stop into Blacketyside Farm Shop. In season
you’ll find recently picked strawberries, blackberries,
gooseberries and blueberries, with plenty of berry
stock - perfect for jams, smoothies and puddings -
in the frozen section throughout the rest of the year.
Buy locally sourced produce plucked straight from
the ground, as well as delicious high quality meats
from the nearby Puddledub Farm. The chilled section
stocks homemade farmhouse ready meals, while a
large range of jams, biscuits and cakes are created
from favourite traditional recipes using the farm’s
ingredients. It’s not just edibles on offer at Blacketyside.
Pick up a gift, greetings card, or treat yourself to a
piece of jewellery. The farm’s hampers make for a
fantastic present (including gluten-free varieties) and,
with an on-site florist too, a visit here makes buying for
birthdays and special occasions easy.

The Howgate Centre is Falkirk’s very own shopping
centre, primely located in the heart of the town.
You can choose to make a day of it, or simply pop
in for a few essentials. The centre attracts locals
and visitors alike, lured there by its eclectic range
of high street shops and boutiques. To shop for
womenswear, head to Dorothy Perkins, Wallace
or New Look, while men will want to visit Republic,
River Island or USC. The centre offers a host of
entertainment and electrical stores, so you can
acquire some new gadgets from Argos or stock up
on DVDs at HMV. If you’re planning to make a day
of it, there’s no shortage of places in which to eat
at the Howgate Centre; from Café Revive at M&S
to Pavlova, lunch and drinks are sorted. If you’re
