Anstruther is a tiny town, but its Fish Bar is known
throughout the Kingdom of Fife. This acclaimed
fish restaurant is as popular with the locals as it is
with the visitors who flock here from far and wide.
The Fish Bar’s proprietors source their seafood
directly from the fishermen who land it along the
Fife coastline. This family-run business takes
a hands-on approach, scrutinising everything
from the purchasing through to frying. While you
wait for your fish supper to cook, sit back in the
lounge area and watch the family fishing films that
document life at sea from the 1950s to the present
day. Throughout the week, you’ll find a variety
of seafood to tempt your taste buds, including
Icelandic cod, haddock, prawns and line-caught
mackerel. There’s also lobster and crab that’s
been landed at Anstruther harbour. Even the
potatoes used by the chipper are local, as are the
eggs, rolls and dairy products.

Presented with a modern and brightly colored
interior, Benny T’s serves up traditional chip shop
fare in a friendly environment. Using high quality
produce and locally sourced Scottish fish, their
specialty is battered haddock and chips, but they
also offer cod, scampi, haggis, chicken goujons,
burgers, salads, pizzas and more. If you’re not
too stuffed, you can choose from a selection of
enticing Italian ice creams for dessert. Benny T’s
supports the local Falkirk football club and also
