Whether you’re going for drinks with your pals,
a slap-up dinner, an after-work light bite, an
afternoon tea with the girls, or a hearty Sunday
roast with the family, Lóuie Brown’s can cater
for you. The versatile bar and eatery also has
a terrace for al fresco meals and cocktails, and
offers plenty of choice for those following gluten-
free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian diets.
In addition to the main bar and kitchen area
(complete with over 50 different types of gins),
Lóuie Brown’s has a coffee shop. Order cakes,
cooked breakfasts, paninis, sandwiches and a
selection of hot beverages - plus there’s a kids’
menu to keep the little ones well fed. The deli
area of the coffee shop sells wines, luxury crisps,
chocolates, meats and cheese. Seasonal events
are held throughout the year, with Christmas and
New Year celebrations being a highlight.

Room with a View is so named due to its
waterside location, boasting panoramic vistas
across the Islands of the Forth to Edinburgh
beyond. The restaurant is run by Hannah and
resident chef Tim, with attentive personal service
and quality local fare specialising in fish and
seafood. Diners can enjoy classical guitar, often
live, with guitarist Nick Lees occasionally playing
in person. Look out onto the Hawkcraig Cliffs
and watch the wildlife, as you feast on delicious
cuisine from the seasonal menu. In summer, eat
or have a drink outdoors in the garden area, or
relax indoors in the intimate dining room seating
up to 24. The restaurant is open from Wednesday
to Sunday. With rooms available in-house at the
Forth View Hotel, why not celebrate a special
occasion by dining, staying over, and waking up
to breathtaking views.
