CAFES, BARS & CLUBS
D’nisi is a cheery little cafe
that’s been serving the town of
Alloa for years. Its proprietors
opened their doors with a
simple but ambitious goal in
mind: to set a new standard
for coffee houses in Scotland.
This meant focusing on quality
espresso beans accompanied
by freshly prepared soups,
sandwiches and scones. A
decade on, D’nisi is still abiding
by that ethos and has proven
that the secret to a successful
coffee shop lies in quality fare
and good service. The store,
which is situated on the high
street, has proven to be a
success since day one: local
businesses, shoppers, students
and tourists have all been won
over by the relaxed, friendly
vibe and, of course, those
all-important beans. D’nisi
features a dedicated children’s
area and a good selection of
large easy chairs to slump into.
Grab a brew, kick back and
browse the day’s news and
social drama on your phone.
The food ranges from simple
sandwiches to extravagant
cakes, while so-called chilled
evenings offer pizzas and other
Mediterranean fare. With five
coffee shops now scattered
across the West of Scotland,
D’nisi is proof that hard work
and good coffee go a long way.
