CAFES, BARS & CLUBS
Billed as St. Andrews’ newest
19th hole, this stunning bar and
grill overlooks the world’s most
famous golf course. The Royal
& Ancient Golf Club needs
no introduction, its reputation
extending to all golfing corners
of the globe. Positioned adjacent
to the 18th green, Hams Hame
boasts stunning views that are
complimented by the splendour
of the pub itself. Despite opening
in 2013, Hams Hame is fast
developing a reputation for great
Scottish cuisine. The menu
draws upon locally sourced
lamb, beef, game and poultry
as well as seafood landed
nearby in Fife’s fishing villages.
The lunch menu includes such
delectable offerings as Dornoch
pork rack of ribs; Craigtoun wild
mushroom risotto; plus hearty
sandwiches made on rustic
brown bread. When evening
falls, Hams Hame’s dinner menu
cranks things up a notch, with
the exquisite cuisine matched by
a fine selection of wines from the
old and new worlds. There’s also
space for some sophisticated
malt whiskies and an array of
beers and ales, including local
offerings from Black Isle Brewery
Co and Belhaven. Beautifully
furnished with solid wood and
rustic features throughout, Hams
Hame is a great addition to St.
Andrews – one that effortlessly
merges the old with the new.
