found at Reay Golf Club.
This traditional links course
is famed for its exquisite
coastal views over looking
Sandside Bay, with the
Pentland Firth and North
Atlantic just an errant slice

the club, whose hospitality is
just one of many highlights

record of 63 set back in
2004. Reay is a club with a
rich and storied history, one
which dates all the way back
to 1893. The club saw a
major makeover in the 1960s
including the construction
of a new clubhouse. Reay
Golf Club is prone to
quoting famed golf course
architect Donald Steele
who remarked “In a different
location, [Reay] would enjoy
worldwide acclaim”. It is this
remoteness that gives the
club much of its character
however, making it one
that true golfing fans are
only too happy to make the
pilgrimage to. The 5,831-
yard course is full of little
surprises from the first tee
to the last.
