It forms an oasis of calm, just moments from the
hustle and bustle of Deansgate. It’s not the only
historic building capable of exerting that sort of
effect on all who cross its threshold; Elizabeth
Gaskell’s house is also pretty special. Having
undergone a £2.5 million restoration, the home
of the famous novelist boasts exquisite gardens
and a charming tearoom.
Whether you’re visiting Manchester for business,
pleasure or a little bit of both, the city boasts a
number of epic attractions that deserve to be seen. The
Entertainment Guide lists the very best of them, detailing
everything you need to turn a pleasant stay into an unforgettable
one.

Manchester 2020/21
Since the brand launch in 2000, visitors to our national website have
requested recognition for the best venues throughout Great Britain
and Ireland. Obviously this is very difficult with a wide range of top
establishments which feature within the guides.
What I decided to do was acknowledge these requests by the general
public by awarding a Certificate of Excellence, which over the years
now adorn the walls and receptions of many businesses.
So keep posting the comments and remember if you appear in your
city edition, you have been recommended or reviewed by us, so keep
up the high standards.
Remember...this is the original Entertainment Guide...
accept no other!!
