THE MILESTONE
The Milestone is an airy,
contemporary gastropub with
exposed ceiling joists that
serves area-sourced British
food. It’s a restaurant that
celebrates truly great food.

where each ingredient is
locally sourced where possible.
Nestling in one of the oldest
industrial sites in Sheffield, it
serves dishes that will stir up
memories and excite your taste
buds. The Milestone was once
named best British restaurant
by TV chef Gordon Ramsey
and continues to earn plaudits
with every passing year.
Previous dishes have included
ballotine of caramelised pig’s
head, piccalilli and burnt apple
caramel; pan fried duck hearts;
and crispy fishcake, poached
egg & creamed leeks. For
dessert, look out for such
delectable options as sweet
cream cheese, blackberries,
blackberry
sorbet,
maple
caramelised
granola
and
apple marigold – essentially
a deconstructed cheesecake.
For a more traditional option,
the milk chocolate brownie,
morello cherry puree, bitter
chocolate and vanilla cream
is hard to fault. With three
courses available for a set
price and an early bird menu,
it’s possible to enjoy gourmet
food at The Milestone without
breaking the bank.
