In Italian ‘Il Cardo’ means ‘The Thistle’, and is also
the name of our family property in Tuscany. We
have used our Italian connections to source quality
products directly, helping make Deli il Cardo a place
to visit time and time again. We stock a range of
international produce including some unusual
Asian foods that are available for the adventurous
home cook! Our sauces, spices and condiments
are essential for creating authentic dishes, and
aren’t available anywhere else in Largs. Our
wonderful staff have loads of experience in the
buying and selling of deli products. Aside from the
great deli counter, Deli il Cardo also offers food-to-
go including paninis, salads and soups, all freshly
made on the premises. We also sell fresh ground
coffee from the oldest Italian producer, established
in 1882. We aim to improve as we grow, and
help other Largs retailers promote the town as a
destination for shoppers and tourists to enjoy.
