Buffet dining may not be for
everyone, but even those who
typically swerve such eateries
should give Cosmo a try.
Located in Belfast’s Victoria
Square, the bustling restaurant
has options aplenty – even the
fussiest of diners should find
something that takes their fancy
thanks to the sheer number
of dishes on offer. Cosmo is a
little different from most buffets,
it must be said. For one thing,
they cook their meat to order
and there are dedicated chefs
occupying each cooking station.
The live cooking stations, with
dishes clearly marked, include
a sushi bar, a noodle and wok
bar, a Teppanyaki bar, a seafood
counter, an Asian deli, an Indian
tandoori and curry bar and a
pizza oven. There’s even a
carvery, should you desire –
and not just on Sundays. Boldly
marketing itself as providing the
‘best flavours the world has to
offer’, Cosmo certainly goes
some way towards validating
its claim; the food is varied,
fresh and delicious. Value for
money is not sacrificed either,
as adults can dine on an all-you-
can-eat basis for a fixed price,
with children eating cheaply.
The staff, meanwhile, are
attentive and happy to dispense
recommendations. So go on,
give Cosmo a try. It’s buffet
dining, but not as you know it.
