Anatolia is one of Dundee’s few Turkish
restaurants, and has gained a particularly
good reputation for the staff’s care and
passion for food. The traditional Turkish
decor and warm ambience serve to make
a great atmosphere at the weekends, and
you’ll find regular and new customers
alike flocking to secure a table. Enjoy any
one of the dishes on the extensive menu,
including traditional mezes and tender lamb,
cooked with a blend of herbs and spices in
a traditional Turkish way. Finish the meal off
with Turkish delight or baklava, flaky layers
of pastry mixed with a variety of nuts and
honey. After the meal, it’s not uncommon
for the chef to come and ask how your meal
was: the Anatolia staff are some of the most
attentive to be found in Dundee.

Dervish
Dervish is a Turkish takeaway restaurant offering
food for collection and delivery. Situated in the
centre of St Andrews, on Bell Street, Dervish
is the perfect place to pop in for a late night
snack to take home after a night out. As you’d
expect from a takeaway serving Turkish cuisine,
there’s a great range of kebabs including donner,
chicken, shish and vegetarian options. Or you
could opt for a wrap, burger, pizza, or calzone.
For those preferring a lighter bite, there’s garlic
bread, falafel, pakora, chicken nuggets and of
course chips (cheese, curry sauce and gravy
options available). You can wash all this down
with a range of diet and regular sodas and if you
can’t get enough of Dervish’s sauce, you can get
even saucier with tubs to purchase. If you prefer
to stay in, delivery is completely free and Dervish
is open from midday to midnight.
