This eclectic Bistro, tucked away on Church
Square, is set over two floors. Cosy in winter and
with outdoor seating available in mild weather, it
continues to garner positive reviews from diners.
The Doll’s House carefully chooses ingredients
from local suppliers, and crafts meals that make a
big impression. Whether visiting morning, noon or
night, this charming eatery can cater for you. It is
open from 9am every morning, when you can sip
on freshly brewed coffee and tuck into homemade
scones. Or you can order from the market menu
from Monday to Friday, 12pm till 6pm, if it’s brunch
you’re after. Those visiting in the evening or at the
weekend can choose from the main a la carte
menu, with high-quality produce sourced from
land and sea, including flat iron steak, Peterhead
haddock and Isle of Arran haggis. When you’re
fit to burst, make a statement with a decadent
traditional boozy cranachan.

Billed as St. Andrews’ newest 19th hole, Hams
Hame boasts stunning views that are complimented
by the splendour of the pub itself. The menu draws
upon locally sourced lamb, beef, game and poultry
as well as seafood landed nearby in Fife’s fishing
villages. The lunch menu includes such delectable
offerings as Dornoch pork rack of ribs; Craigtoun
wild mushroom risotto; plus hearty sandwiches
made on rustic brown bread. When evening falls,
Hams Hame’s dinner menu cranks things up a
notch, with the exquisite cuisine matched by a fine
selection of wines from the old and new worlds.
There’s also space for some sophisticated malt
whiskies and an array of beers and ales, including
local offerings from Black Isle Brewery Co and
Belhaven. Beautifully furnished with solid wood
and rustic features throughout, Hams Hame is a
great addition to St. Andrews – one that effortlessly
merges the old with the new.
