Expect elegance and excellence in The Three
Chimneys, a fine dining establishment brought
to you in an old-fashioned historic bungalow.
Don’t expect this restaurant to be stuck in the
past though, for upon walking in you will find
a plush modern interior that you would expect
in the middle of a metropolitan city. Complete
with stunning scenery and a tranquil garden,
the restaurant has a dinner menu that boasts
exotic game such as woodland pigeon and Skye
venison; fresh oysters are also available. Head
chef Scott Davies has trained with a Michelin-
starred chef and the restaurant’s produce is
sourced only a few miles away, ensuring that
the food is as fresh as can be when it’s brought
to your table. The Good Food Guide liked this
place so much it named it UK restaurant of the
year 2018. The restaurant’s owner, Shirley, has a
wealth of accolades to her name including being
awarded an OBE by the queen for services to
food and drink in Scotland. The Three Chimneys
also won Scottish restaurant of the year as far
back as 1990. Shirley takes a proactive interest
in green tourism with the use of eco-friendly
products and she works with her suppliers to
ensure that all of the food served is good for the
environment as well as comprising a satisfying
meal. Charities that the restaurant support
include the Skye Mountain Rescue team who
Shirley holds charity lunches for. All in all, The
Three Chimneys is a fine restaurant whose
pedigree is second to none. No visit to the Isle
of Skye would be complete without dinner at
this renowned establishment. From the stunning
views to the stunningly plated food, everything
about The Three Chimneys is a triumph.
