One of only a handful of
safari parks operating in
the UK, and the only African
safari park in Scotland, Blair
Drummond is a mesmerising
spectacle that animal-lovers
will relish. Located between
Glasgow and Stirling, the
site is spread over 120 acres
and offers drive-through
reserves, a boat safari and
acres of land which are
accessible by foot. You can
take your own car along to
the park, or enjoy an outing
on the free safari bus that
operates. Blair Drummond
offers visitors a rare chance
to catch a glimpse at close
quarters of animals rarely
seen in European safari
parks, never mind the UK.
Come face-to-face with
African elephants, watch the
lions enjoy a spot of dinner
and gaze up at the giraffes.
Other animals you’ll see
at Blair Drummond Safari
Park include chimps, rhinos,
bears, lemurs, penguins and
otters, as well as numerous
birds of prey. If you love
your wildlife but can’t make
it all the way to Africa, Blair
Drummond Safari Park is
the place to aim for. Family
attractions don’t get much
realer than this. Kids will
love it and so will grown-ups.
