Saffy’s head chef Douglas Smith has been
impressing food critics for almost 20 years. Having
won a string of national awards after cooking for
a host of VIP diners, he is now one of Scotland’s
most accomplished chefs. Douglas has decided
to bring his excellent cuisine to Ayr, with his own
café, bar and brasserie, Saffy’s. He has worked at
both Enterkine House and McCallum’s Oyster Bar
in past years, and now attracts a growing customer
base amongst locals and visitors to the town.
Douglas uses the freshest local produce available
to produce delicious Mediterranean-inspired dishes
that are unique and inventive. Tuck into peppered
