THE LONGHOUSE
130 TITCHFIELD STREET, KILMARNOCK, KA1 1PH
01563 535 130
The Longhouse is a firm favourite with the
denizens of Kilmarnock. The traditional restaurant
in the heart of the city celebrates formal dining
with a variety of Scottish-themed dishes that will
surpass all expectations. The decor, meanwhile,
is characterised by leather booths, eye-catching
feature lights and bespoke furniture. Local
ingredients feature heavily on the menu, with
seasonal produce favoured at each juncture.
Seafood is in no short supply, with the likes of
Shetland mussels (with garlic and herb bread),
beer-battered haddock and cajun-spiced salmon up
for grabs. There’s something for everyone though:
sizzling fajitas, braised beef steak cooked in red
wine and herbs, a Stornoway black pudding scotch
egg and a delightful pulled pork salad. A member
of the Scotch Beef Club, the restaurant comes into
its own during Sunday roast; if you want to end the
weekend on a high point, earmark The Longhouse
as your dinner venue of choice.
