KIDZ PLAY
Who doesn’t like to play
beside the seaside? There’s
a special reason to take
the kids to Prestwick Beach
though, regardless of the
weather. The sea may be
choppy and the wind gusty,
but inside Kidz Play it’s always
warm and cosy. The nautical-
themed children’s play centre
is a family-owned business
with an excellent reputation.
Friendliness is everything when
you’re entertaining hordes of
capricious toddlers and young
children. The staff at Kidz Play
genuinely seem to love what
they do, going to great effort to
ensure that everyone is made to
feel welcome and involved with
the games. Kids walking into
the play centre for the first time
will encounter a magical world
of bright colours, steep slides
and gentle landings. Ball pits,
chutes, tunnels and obstacles
form a maritime world of make-
believe that’s begging to be
explored. The Party Shack is
where birthdays go down, with
play time interrupted only for
cake and party food. Recently
refurbished, the centre’s main
play structure is suitable from
kids up to 11, while the party
rooms can host a total of 50.
While the kids do what kids do
best, parents can sit back and
savour a brew in the seaside
cafe, complete with fine views
of the Ayrshire coast.
