Purecraft
is
one
of
Birmingham’s coolest haunts.
Occupying an open-plan,
somewhat industrial space in
Waterloo Street, the pub is
the perfect venue for a post-
work pint or a delicious meal.
Despite only opening in 2014,
Purecraft was named Best Beer
Pub at the Great British Pub
Awards 2015: it’s safe to say
this is one venue that’s deeply
passionate about its booze.
More than 20 varieties of beer
are available on cask or keg,
with several titles deriving from
the shareholder Purity Brewing.
A further 80 bottles are also up
for grabs. The menus are fun
and imaginative, and many of
the draught beers are updated
daily, reflecting changing trends
in the ever-expanding craft
market. The venue also hosts
weekly beer tasting events. Is
there a better way of finding
your favourite new beer than
by guzzling every iteration in
sight? Of course, Purecraft
pub is known for more than
just beer; they also do sublime
food. Hang by the bar and
choose from a range of classic
snacks including homemade
pork scratchings, UBU glazed
pork pies and curry sausage
rolls. Alternatively, sit down for
a large plate – there’s plenty of
fine options on the main menu.
In a city graced by a wealth of
great pubs, Purecraft acquits
itself very well indeed.
