Jam Jar is a popular Bridge Of Allan cafe and
restaurant whose reputation extends far beyond
the confines of the small town. Wooden floors and
a large wood-burning stove give the restaurant
a cosy, homely feel, while slate and tweed are
deployed to good effect. The menu is based
around a small but inventive selection of dishes,

Classic dishes are given a twist, while Jam Jar’s
own creations include a light but satisfying crab
and lemon risotto and a prawn chilli linguini. At
lunchtimes, Jam Jar offers a selection of soups
and sandwiches, the steak sandwich is particularly
satisfying, best ordered medium rare. One of the
brightest and tastiest dining spots in Bridge of
Allan, Jam Jar hits the spot.

The first store of its kind, Wagyu House sells a
wide selection of high grade beef (including the
distinguished and well-known Kobe beef) all across
the UK. You can find Wagyu House on the high
street in Bridge of Allan, where all grades of world-
famous Wagyu beef from the premium Japanese
herd to the more affordable Australian variety are
used to make specialty items such as burgers,
sausages, pies, steak cuts, charcuterie and takeout
dishes for a deliciously luxurious lunch. The store
owns two drying agers, and you can choose how
long to dry-age your own cut of beef with Himalayan
rock salt. Founded by a husband and wife team, the
store stems from the same company which delivers
high quality meats to Michelin star restaurants also
