Paintballing in Cardiff has always been a popular
pastime with locals and visitors to theWelsh capital,
and with Delta Force there is really something for
keen paintballers to get excited about. With six
stunning game zones including A Bridge Too Far
(with three large bridge structures), the historically
influenced D-Day Landing and the tense Vietcong
Village scenario there is a great challenge here
for every playing style and ability. Visit the centre
to experience paintball in South Wales at its very
best. The Delta Force Cardiff paintball centre is set
in spectacular woodland, providing players with a
stunning panoramic backdrop to their gameplay.
It may only be paintball, but make no mistake, it’s
serious business – one slip and you’ll be wearing
the orange paint of your enemies. Even if it’s just
a game between mates, no one wants to wind up
on the losing team.

ROATH PARK
Opened at the end of the Victorian era in 1894,
Roath Park was the result of seven years’ work
to transform what was marshy bogland into 130
acres of parkland. The land was donated to the
Cardiff Corporation by the Marquis of Bute and now
features a 40-acre boating lake, rose and dahlia
gardens, a sub-tropical greenhouse, a playground
and cafe. The lake is about a mile in circumference,
so it’s perfect for a Sunday afternoon post-club stroll.
Roath Park lake features four artificial islands which
provide a haven for birds and other wildlife; look out
for cormorants roosting on the islands’ trees. Its
1915 lighthouse is a tribute to Captain Scott who
departed on his ill-fated voyage to the Antarctic
from Cardiff. The Botanic Gardens feature a large
rose garden, conservatory and playground, set
against a backdrop of lawns and conifers enclosed
by shrub and herbaceous borders.
