Trattoria Guidi is a family-owned restaurant, situated
close to Airdrie, has been serving authentic Italian
cuisine for over 30 years. While traditional Italian
recipes are used, the high quality ingredients,
including beef and fish, are sourced locally. The
mussels come from Shetland, the salmon is
Scottish of course and the glorious, sweet desserts
are homemade. There’s plenty of elbow room and
ample space in which to soak up the atmosphere
as you peruse the menu. As you would expect of
any self-respecting Italian restaurant, Guidi’s starts
things off with a selection of fine cured meats and
cheeses. Antipasto then leads on to pasta, pizzas,
beef and seafood, accompanied by an extensive
wine menu. For diners seeking to keep things
simple, Guidi’s pizzas are hard to fault. Not to forget
the house special either: the Sloppy Joe, made with
chilli con carne and mozzarella in a calzone folded
pizza. Tuck in.
