HM Frigate Unicorn
HM FRIGATE
UNICORN
HMS Unicorn, of 46 guns, was
built for the Royal Navy and
launched in 1824. She is now
the World’s last intact warship
from the days of sail, one of
the six oldest ships in the
world. Explore the 200-year old
wooden warship as you learn
what life was like for its brave
crew. Permanently berthed in
Dundee’s Victoria dock, this
museum and visitor centre is
easily accessible from the city
centre, rail and bus stations
and by road. HMS Unicorn has
a truly fascinating and amazing
history and what better way to
learn about it and about the
“Golden Age of Sail” than with
an educational and informative
trip around this ancient vessel.
