When you need tasty food, fast, pay Via Italia
a visit. The street food specialist serves freshly
made Italian cuisine in two central locations
across the city. It began life on Union Street -
conveniently located by the train station - before
expanding into Glasgow’s vibrant Sauchiehall
Street. Start your day with a breakfast calzone,
or a rich coffee and light pastry. When eating
at Via Italia, the Piada (or Piadina) is a must
try. This thin flatbread made with organic flour,
originated in the Romagna region and is served
with your choice of filling. Or choose a salad or
pasta as your meal base, add in some sauces
and sides, then finish it all off with a decadent
authentic Italian dessert. Kids ‘picnic’ dishes
provide a nutritious meal, free from artificial
preservatives and additives. Wash it all down
with a San Pellegrino soda, iced tea or frappe.

Bella Fresca means ‘nice and fresh’ in Italian -
and that’s exactly how you can expect the food
and drink to be here. The venue was opened
in 1997 as a delicatessen, before growing to
incorporate a cafe bistro in 2006. Seating 45,
Bella Fresca is open for breakfast, lunch and
dinner throughout the week and at weekends.
Dine on cured and cooked meats, pastas,
pizzas, cheeses, breads, paninis, filled rolls,
calzone and more. Sip on prosecco, cocktails,
fine wines, spirits and regional beers as you
catch up with friends over delicious food. Order
a la carte, or opt for set and express menu
options. There’s a special menu for kids in what
is a very family-friendly restaurant. If you don’t
have time to eat in, food can be taken away, as
well as freshly roasted Italian coffees and soft
drinks - perfect for a pit stop in your lunch break.
