This bustling Mexican kitchen has two outlets in
Glasgow – one on Byres Road in the city’s West
End, and one on Renfield Street. Whichever
branch of Taco Mazama you plump for, you can
be sure of a warm welcome and a hearty feed.
Open from 12pm till 10pm daily, the restaurants
operate a BYOB policy. Choose your favourite
tipple and head on over for an affordable night
of eating, drinking and socialising with friends.
Lunchtime specials include a mini burrito or half
quesadilla with tortilla chips and a drink for less
than a fiver. Taco Mazama’s West End outlet,
located opposite Hillhead subway station, keeps
the student population fed and watered, while their
newest addition, on John Street, does the same
for Strathclyde uni students. Take your pick from
an array of traditional Mexican dishes, topped up
with guacamole, refried beans and salsa – made
up as mild or spicy as you can handle.

For fresh, filling and healthy Mexican food,
eat at Bibi’s Cantina. This independent eatery
offers a traditional-yet-trendy Mexican feel
that’s welcoming to those of all ages (children
even eat free on Sundays, with colouring pages
and games provided to keep the little ones
entertained). There are some great value deals
with happy hours and early bird dining, and you
can take your food away. Enjoy all your favourite
tacos, tostadas, fajitas, burritos, quesadillas,
enchiladas, marinated fish of the day and
cowboy steaks. Wash it down with one of Bibi’s
tequilas, or even a Margarita sorbet to finish.
The dining room can be hired in its entirety for
up to 38 covers, and makes for a quirky, flexible
and intimate venue in which to celebrate your
nuptials - there are wedding packages available,
all of which can be adapted to your needs.
