The Gallimaufry
The Gallimaufry can justifiably
be billed one of Bristol’s
best pubs. Since opening
its doors in spring 2012, the
arty independent bar and
restaurant has been serving
the city’s gastronomes and
hip revellers. Affectionately
known as The Galli, the venue,
situated on Gloucester Road,
specialises in fine freshly-
brewed coffees, international
wines, popular local cask
ales, ciders and craft beer.
Whether your tipple is a bottle
of Wild Beer Co or a mug of
‘EQ’ Clinton Coffee, this is the
place to quench your thirst. If
cocktails are more your kind
of thing, Thursday nights
are dedicated to the potent
concoctions. The Gallimaufry
is also a showcase for the
most promising bands and
DJs from the area, with live
events occurring throughout
the week. Drop by on Open
Mic Monday for an evening
of varied sounds or enjoy
a generous mix of folk,
boogaloo, blues and jazz on
Wednesdays. At the weekend,
it’s the turn of the turntablists,
who rinse a feel-good blend of
soul, disco, rock and hip-hop.
The best part is, there’s no
entry fee – just rock up, kick
back and cut loose.
