Fhior is a stylish, modern dining establishment,
established in 2018 and offering authentic
Scottish cuisine. The restaurant’s name means
‘true’ in Gaelic, and is the vision of Scott and Laura
Smith, whose aim is to provide excellent, yet
playful and lighthearted cuisine. Warm hospitality
is part of the Fhior experience too, creating an
unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere, in which you
can enjoy vibrant and flavoursome seasonal local
produce, with careful attention to detail. Choose
from a four- or seven-course set evening menu,
with the option of a drinks pairing. Lunch follows
an unusual à la carte menu, while a lighter bar
menu is available throughout the day. The wine
list is made up of artisanal, small producers’ craft
wine fare - all of which is organic and biodynamic.
Enjoy Fhior’s simple,classic surroundings, from
Wednesday through to Saturday, in the heart of
Edinburgh’s epicurean East End.

The Bubba Q story is in essence a rags to
(hopefully) riches tale of 2 friends with a dream
to make their lifelong passion – to cook and to
entertain – into a reality, this is a real life example
of The America Dream in action, but set in the
heart of our great country! Eddie and Bubba (see
where we got the name from!) have lived and
created a life for themselves in Scotland for 20
years and consider themselves as Scottish as
most. Their travels across America had them
stumble upon the Holy Grail of Food – BBQ!
Weeks and months of research into the perfect
meats to use, wood to smoke with, even down to
developing our very own signature BBQ dry rub
has brought us to where we are today. We have
gut busting desserts and indulgent drinks with
handcrafted shakes – in true American style we
want no one to leave our house hungry!!!
