The Clutha Bar celebrated its re-launch in 2015,
officiated by the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. It
followed a period of closure after the tragic incident
in 2013, when a helicopter crashed into the site.
A new bar area has been erected in the former
smoking area and the exterior is now adorned
with murals of well-known comedians including
Glasgow’s own Billy Connolly. The Clutha Bar is
famed for its fantastic atmosphere, warm welcome
and for being one of the finest places in the city for
live music. There’s something on every night at
this buzzing venue. Take part in one of their pub
quizzes and order some tasty, freshly cooked food
- the woodfired pizzas and tacos are especially
popular and great value. Clutha is situated by the
banks of the River Clyde and boasts an outdoor
drinking area, and covered beer garden for an all-
weather al fresco experience.
