Tropicana is one of Dundee’s
most popular nightclubs, as
the city’s student population
will attest. With its multiple
floors and eclectically-themed
entertainment, it’s the sorta
club you can wander into any
night of the week and find
something
going
on.
A
remarkably diverse music policy
incorporates everything from
pop to rock, but there is one
caveat attached: it has to be
80s. Club Tropicana doesn’t
just relive the 80s: it celebrates
them in some style, with decor
to match the cheesy pop tunes
and swirling synths that were
an integral part of the decade’s
sound. For special occasions,
head to the VIP room, Karma
Lounge or Cocktail Bar. The
VIP room is grand as it sounds;
you’ll need to register prior to
arriving at the club. It’s a great
place for a birthday party, with
champagne and special spirits
receptions available. Student
night are always raucous, with a
large selection of drinks deals to
keep the good times flowing. The
club also hosts live music events
and a variety of themed nights,
from discos to summer parties.
From A-ha to ZZ Top, the 80s
gave birth to a host of stars and
an array of timeless anthems,
the best of which are always
on rotation in the club where
