You can buy a steak just about anywhere in
Glasgow, but not all steaks are created equal.
For a slice of beef that’s a cut above the rest,
we’re talking dry aged and grilled to perfection, it
has to be Tiffney’s. The steakhouse is prized for
its attentive service, excellent wine list and prime
juicy steaks. Serious steak lovers can enjoy the
primest cuts exactly how they like it, and we’re
not just talking medium or rare: with 24 hours’
notice, Tiffney’s chefs will prepare your preferred
cut to the size of your choosing. Will it be the
pan-seared scallops, served with creamed leeks
and pancetta, to start or the tender lamb T-bone
pieces? When it comes to choosing a main
course, you know in advance you’ll be plumping
for one of Tiffney’s trademark steaks, served
with hand-cut chips or swede infused mash and
a choice of sauces.

This award winning steakhouse prides itself
on the quality of its dry-aged, grass-fed Scotch
beef, and rightly so. The Butchershop attracts
gourmands from across the central belt, eager to
experience some of the finest cuts of meat known
to man. There’s more to this bar/restaurant than
prime meat of course – the whiskies, wine and
signature cocktails are also worth crossing town
for. Styled in the manner of a Manhattan grill, the
Butchershop is packed out seven days a week.
The brainchild of owner James Rusk, the diner
was inspired by a spell in New York City. Choose
from rump, T-bone or sirloin steak as well as juicy
burgers and hand-cut fries. On Sundays, a hearty
roast is the order of the day. While the food is
exceptional, the bar is equally impressive. Kick
back in a leather booth as you sup a Champagne
Daisy cocktail and peruse the day’s papers.
