Hemingway’s is The Shore’s
newest addition. The cool new
spot has an incredible cocktail
and food menu and is even
dog-friendly, so you can take
your best friend with you if
you want. Hemingway’s offers
sophisticated drinking and
dining in the heart of Leith,
with a relaxed menu of shared
plates. Overlooking the Water
of Leith, diners can watch the
world go by, on land and on
the water, from comfortable
surroundings. As the name
suggests, the venue has been
inspired by the great Ernest
Hemingway. There are plenty
of book-themed touches with
typewriters dotted around, as
well as plenty of books, giving
the whole place the feel of a
luxurious library. The food
menu features small plates,
planks and flatbreads, with a
delicious offering that includes
halloumi chips, fried calamari,
chorizo flatbreads and much
more. Changing seasonally to
reflect the best produce, the
small plates are designed to
be shared and enjoyed with
good company. Signature
cocktails also sound delicious,
the The Sun Also Rises for
example - made with fortaleza
tequila, coconut water, cream
of coconut, aluna coconut rum,
charred pineapple reduction
and lime with a smoked
pineapple salt rim.
